Writing An Ebook? Consider This...
Considering writing an ebook consider this
When you are writing about anything, passion shines through!
I recall reading an Ebook by Randy Smith about Writing Sales Pages, and the passion in his writing literally grabbed me by the neck and made me want to read more!
Think about it, remember at school when you were forced to write essays, and the subject did not interest you in slightest?
You had to practically force yourself to write, counting the words, hoping to have reached the required amount.
But
When you write about something you are passionate about, a niche or subject that truly interests you, the creative juices start flowing and the writing is so much easier!
So if you are going to write your own ebook, choose a subject that:
You are passionate about
You are interested in
You know a lot about!
It will make writing your ebook so much easier, trust me!
Ok now you have a subject or topic in mind, you need to know what your niche market NEED!
So you have to find out:
What problems your market have
What solutions they are looking for
What they are willing to pay for!
You are going to provide them with the information they will be falling over themselves to pay you money for!
How can you find out what your niche market want?
Easy!
Visit related forums!
Simly search Google, Yahoo or MSN for Your Subject Forum.
Next, look at the posts, see what the members are looking for, what advice are they asking for, it really is that simple!
Once you have a list of questions, compile the answers into an ebook then you can:
Give forum members a free copy, of course, the free copy would contain relevant affiliate links to make you money on the back end!
Or sell the ebook to them!
If you do not research your niche you will end up writing, creating and trying to sell an ebook that no one wants to buy!
So all your hard work has been for nothing!
RESEARCH RESEARCH AND MORE RESEARCH IS THE KEY!
Ok, so if you have an ebook subject in mind, don t just plough ahead and write the ebook, it takes much more thought than that!
We are going to think 2 steps ahead.
After the reader has finished your ebook, what will they look for next
YOU ARE GOING TO PROVIDE IT ON A PLATE!
Let s say a lady buys an ebook How To Get Pregant , what might she want next?
Assuming she gets pregnant
Guide To The Delivery Room
Breastfeeding Guide
Baby Names Ebook
Your New Baby s 1st Year
Toddler Eating Guide
The list is endless as you can see!
If you can put yourself in the readers shoes
Imagine what stage or step they require next
Then you can ensure your first ebook leads to ebook no2
Ebook No2 leads to Ebook no3 and so on!
I keep saying selling ebooks is not ROCKET SCIENCE and it isn t!
Of course, you don t have to write all the follow up ebooks there are thousands already written with Master Resell Rights!
Ok, so what next, you have your topic, you have your follow up sales so
Get your ebook out there
I know you will never feel your ebook is good enough or ready for release!
I felt the same, total fear of failure, bad feedback, but get your ebook written and out there, people will soon let you know what they think!
Then you can amend, your ebook!
Give away some free copies and ask other peoples opinion, then tweak your ebook to perfection!
Ok, the ebook is written and tweaked
Now you need to market it
You have to find out where you target niche hang out, so back to the forums again!
Find similar content websites, and contact the owners, ask them to promote your ebook!
Ok, so they may not promote it for free, so tell them you will give their site a free link inside your ebook, or set up an affilate program and give them a commission for selling your ebook.
Write articles related to your ebook content and post them on popular article directories.
Write smaller e-reports, link to your main ebook from them, and sell them on eBay!
Allow your ebook to have branded links inside it!
Again, the possibilities are unlimited!
Remember, once you have written your ebook, the hard work isn t over, it has just started!
