1. So many people are trying to make money off of the internet. So why is ever one not doing it. Its simple. They don t know what to do and don t know what to promote.
Here we go. Join an affiliate program that has products that convert well and pay you well when you make a sale.
Oops, what is an affiliate program? An affiliate program is an advertising program offering a monetary incentive for webmasters to drive traffic to the advertiser's website. Basically, you join an affiliate program for free, see if they have any products you ll like to promote and that s about it.
2. Here is the key, the products have to be high priced items and you the promoter of this high priced item need to get paid at least 40% to 50% of the sale that you make. Damn, 40% to 50% is high I know. Who will pay me 50% of the sale I made? Believe it or not there are a few reputable affiliate programs out their that will pay you up to 50% for a sale you made for them.
The problem is too many people join these affiliate programs with low paying products, where the affiliate program owners are only willing to pay you no more than 10% of the sale you made for them. In some cases this is complete GARBAGE!
Why I say it s GARBAGE?
Scenario 1 (Small Paying Affiliate): You sell a product for $100.00 and the affiliate programs owners are only willing to pay you $10.00 for the sale. YES, THIS IS GARBAGE!
Scenario 2 (High Paying Affiliate): You sell a product for $100.00 and the affiliate program owners are willing to pay you anywhere from $40.00 to $50.00 for the sale. YES, THIS IS THE WAY IT SHOULD BE!
Now at the same time that 10% that the small paying affiliate is willing to pay you does not look bad if you make a lot of sales. So if you can do 5 to 10 sales a day you ll make $50.00 to $100.00 a day on that 10% of the $100.00 sale you have made. Not bad!
What happens though if you do the same for the high paying affiliate. That s right, you know it BIG MONEY! So you do 5 to 10 sales a day you ll make $250.00 to $500.00 a day on that 50% of the $100.00 sale you have made. YES BIG MONEY!
3. Where in the hell do I advertise to make this type of money? Many people use Google Adwords, Yahoo Search, MSN Adcenter, Adbrite, Adengage, Etology and more.
The problem is these places to advertise your product cost a lot to get your paid ad seen on the first page. The keywords that you choose to bid on cost so damn much. This is where many people go wrong when they advertise many products or services. They choose competitive keywords that cost them around $3.00 to $4.00 per click. This is too much!
The goal when advertising with Google Adwords or Yahoo Search is to find very targeted keywords with low competition. If possible try to pay around .10 cents to .20 cents a click for your keyword. Now, you re looking at a good return on your investment.
Scenario 1 (High Cost Per Click Keyword With Small Paying Affiliate): You re promoting a weight loss product and you choose to bid on the keywords weight loss Not good! Not targeted traffic (your visitors are not buyers their just browsing. You may get one sale)! Yeah, you ll get a lot of traffic, but you are paying lets say around $4.00 per click to get in the TOP position at Google Adwords or Yahoo Search first page. Lets say out of 50 people who clicked on your ad you made one sale. A 1/50 conversion.ratio and you know what, those 50 people cost you $200.00 ($4.00 per click x 50 people). Gets what, that small paying affiliate is only going to pay you $10.00 for selling their $100.00 weight loss product.
GARBAGE! You spent $200.00 to make a $10.00 sale. Not acceptable! You do the math.
Scenario 2 (Low Cost Per Click Keyword With High Paying Affiliate): You re promoting a weight loss product and you choose to bid on the keywords summertime lose weight in three days Very good! Good Targetted Keywords. Yes it s true that you will not get a lot of traffic, but you ll get VERY TARGETTED TRAFFIC (your small amount of visitors are buyers). Yeah, you ll get very little traffic, but you are paying lets say around $.20 per click to get in the TOP position at Google Adwords or Yahoo Search. Lets say out of 10 people who clicked on your ad you made one sale. A 1/10 conversion.ratio and you know what, those 10 people cost you only $2.00 (.20 per click x 10 people). Gets what, that high paying affiliate is going to pay you $50.00 for selling their $100.00 weight loss product.
BIG MONEY! You spent a total of $2.00 to make a $50.00 sale. Beautiful! Remember, you re not getting a lot of traffic, but the conversions are higher.
These are two different examples, so play around with the scenarios and you do the math. Sorry if I confuse anyone.
Also, you can do Search Engine Optimization (SEO) with the hopes of having your website displayed on the first page of Google or Yahoo. It s great free traffic if you know what you re doing.
4. Enough, I want to make $500.00 to $1000.00 a day! Ok very simple. Promote a high priced, great converting product and get with an affiliate program that s going to pay at least 40% to 50% of the sale.
Please understand that you re going to lose money in the beginning because you have to figure out which product sells best and on which platform its sells best on. Once you know this, start promoting at full speed and make all that money. REPEAT, REPEAT & REPEAT what you re doing on other platforms and in other genres if possible.
The hard part for many people is trying to figure out what works with Google Adwords, Yahoo Search, Adbrite or which ever platform you choose to advertise on.
You ll be surprised at what people are willing to buy!

5. Lets quickly sum things up. Get with a high paying affiliate program that has high priced products for you to promote. Make sure you get with an affiliate program that at leasts pays you 40% to 50% of the sale you made for them. Figure out where to promote and which product sells best on which platform. Again, you have to TEST, TEST & TEST. Once you know what works look to make hundreds to thousands of dollars each day.
It maybe tough for you in the beginning, but don t ever give up. Remember, this is NOT A GET RICH QUICK SCHEME.
