8. Are you promoting the product because of the commission or the value?

Newbie often rush into affiliate marketing to promote the product with highest commission regardless of the refund rate or the conversion rate.

What if 3 out of 5 people who bought the product ask for a refund? What if only 1 out of 200 people who bought the product? You are just wasting your capital and effort if you are promoting product like that.

You must understand the benefits the product can offer to your customers. It is highly recommended that you get the product and use it yourself first before you promote it to others.

And as a credible affiliate marketer, you only recommend trust worthy and good value product to your customers.

9. Not building a list

Did anyone tell you that the money is in the list ? And according to research, a person tends to buy after they are exposed to the product 7 times.

So if you are not enrolling your prospect in your list, then you are trying to sell to them on the first attempt. You are just leaving a big chunk of money for other people if you do that.

Plus, if you have a list, you can save a lot of your marketing effort. This is because you can contact your prospect directly and make your offer straight away. Your marketing effort is laser targeted to the people who already have interest to buy. Then you can reap your success faster with less investment.

The next thing you need to do is to separate your customers into a new list as your customer list . Since they have bought from you before, they are more likely to buy from you again. Just continue your relationship with them and they will be more than happy to buy from you.

It is better that you can include the info like how many times they bought from you. What is their feedback about the product? How is their response to your free info to them? What is their overall view about you?

These information are very valuable for you to realign your affiliate marketing strategies towards your customer needs. And by fulfilling your customer needs you will be able to earn faster and easier. And with the same strategy, you can turn your prospect list into valuable customers.

10. Are you using software or labor?

Software indeed saves you a lot of time and effort when you are writing your article or sales letter but from personal experience software lacks the personal touch.

If you are writing using software, you don t need to knock your head for content. You also are free from the frustration of meeting the deadline.

With the evolution of software and tools nowadays, some even said a dog can sell over the Internet. But will you buy from an article that sound like computer generated script or from an article with personal voice in it?

Is tough enough for your customers to take risk and buy without seeing you face to face and trusting you just base on your written words. So, the least you can do is to honor their trust by offering a genuine and personal written script.
